Distance Critiques

As part of our Picture Book Webinar Series, some faculty members are offering distance critiques. For $45.00, you may submit your work for professional feedback.

 

Picture Book Manuscript Critique

  • Select a critique with Editor, Joanna Cardenas or Author, Julie Falatko at the time of registration.
  • Submission instructions will be sent by email. These emails are sent once a week on Wednesday. If you register on a Saturday for example, your confirmation letter with critique submission instructions will arrive the following Wednesday.
  • Be prepared to submit your manuscript by January 21st. It will be returned to you with a completed SCBWI Gold Form on or before March 1st.
  • Fiction manuscripts should be less than 800 words. Nonfiction can be up to 1,500.
  • There are a limited number of critiques. No refunds. No waiting list.

 

Art Sample Critique

  • Select a critique with illustrator, Tim Miller at the time of registration.
  • Submission instructions will be sent by email. These emails are sent once a week on Wednesday. If you register on a Saturday for example, your confirmation letter with critique submission instructions will arrive the following Wednesday.
  • Be prepared to submit 3-5 digital art samples by January 21st. These will be returned with a completed SCBWI Gold Form on or before March 1st.
  • Tim will provide critique on art samples only, no dummies.
  • There are a limited number of critiques. No refunds. No waiting list.
