Our Presenters

With sixteen years of experience as an author and freelance editor, Lisa Amstutz comes to Storm Literary Agency as an Associate Literary Agent. She has written more than 140 books for the educational and trade markets as well as numerous magazine and newspaper articles. As an editor and mentor, she worked with writers to shape and polish their manuscripts, many of which went on to land agents or book contracts. She also edited materials for several publishing companies.

Kelly Dyksterhouse, M.F.A, joined Raven Quill Literary Agency a year ago after 8 years working at various positions at both large and small literary agencies. She holds an M.F.A. from Vermont College of Fine Arts and represents clients who write the across spectrum from picture books to young adult, both fiction and non-fiction. She considers the opportunity to help bring books into the hands of children to be a great honor, and it is a particular joy for her to work alongside authors as they develop their project from idea to polished manuscripts.

Prior to becoming an Associate Agent, Paige Terlip was a Senior Assistant for Executive Agent Laura Rennert, and has been with ABLA for over three years. She comes to agenting with a background in marketing, design, and freelance editorial. She’s worked at Charlesbridge Publishing, The National Renewable Energy Laboratory, and a ranch in the Rockies. She has an MA in Children’s Literature and an MFA in Writing for Children from Simmons University. You can find her on Twitter @pterlip and Instagram @pterli

Kayla Cichello brings to Upstart Crow Literary nearly a decade of experience in children’s publishing. A former Conference Coordinator for the International Summer and Winter Conferences for the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, she most recently logged several years as assistant to Senior Agent Jennifer Rofé at the Andrea Brown Literary Agency. She is open to a wide range of books, from picture books through young adult novels, and is especially keen to discover unique voices and champion new creators of tomorrow’s classics.
