KidLit 101: The Low-down on How to Get a Children’s Book Published

Date(s) - 06/27/2020
1:00 pm - 2:15 pm

Interested in writing or illustrating for kids? This free online panel gives you a peek into the quirky world of children’s publishing. Who’s buying writing and art for kids? How long should your manuscript be? How do artists and authors find each other? How do editors find either of them? Where do you send your manuscript and how can you increase the chances someone will actually read it? How can you improve your craft? Authors and an illustrator from the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators give an overview of the publishing world, share their own experiences getting published, and answer your questions. Replay will be available for one month to anyone who registers for the panel.
